Manchester City has unveiled a unique special edition jersey designed for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, generating buzz as the tournament approaches.

Alongside a traditional sash motif featured in their new home kit for 2025-26, the club has created two exclusive kits for the tournament. Both the outfield shirt and the goalkeeper jersey showcase a modern adaptation of the iconic Diagonal band the club has been known for over the years.

The Club World Cup jersey is a collaboration with Puma and New York-based streetwear brand Kidsuper, which has produced a vibrant range of custom designs for seven competing clubs, including City, Borussia Dortmund, RB Salzburg, Monterrey, Mamelodi Sundowns, al Hilal, and Palmeiras.

Manchester City’s Kidsuper Sash kit will serve as an alternative to their traditional Sky Blue home shirt, which was revealed last month.

Fans will be pleased to see long-term absence Rodri featured among the players modeling the kit. There’s also interest in Jack Grealish showcasing the Club World Cup jersey, although reports suggest manager Pep Guardiola may exclude the England winger from the tournament squad as he explores options for a summer transfer in search of more first-team opportunities.

The outfield kit is predominantly white, adorned with dual-tone red and black sashes over the shoulders. The matching goalkeeper kit features a similar design but incorporates black and yellow sashes with vibrant orange details, resonating well with fans of urban styles.

The sash design is meant to look hand-drawn, resembling a felt-tip illustration. Additionally, the fabric boasts subtle prints of passionate fans performing the famous “Poznan” dance, bringing an immersive atmosphere to the action on the field.

City will debut this new kit in their second group match against Al-Ain, scheduled for June 22nd in Atlanta.

Fan Take: This news excites soccer fans because it showcases the blend of sports and street culture, appealing to a younger audience. The unique designs may help increase engagement in global tournaments, emphasizing the growing trend of teams leveraging fashion to enhance their branding and fan experience.
