Aston Villa clarifies its stance on the rumoured Arsenal and Chelsea targets

Aston Villa could be kept for a tricky summer due to PSR issues, and key players could be sold. However, at this stage there are no plans to consider offerings to outstanding performers from 2024 to 25.

Over the past few weeks, many Aston Villa players have been linked to the move, especially with Premier League clubs. Emi Martinez has emerged as a target for Man United, and midfielder Jacob Ramsey is believed to be on Newcastle’s radar. And in addition to this, Morgan Rogers is also linked to the exit.

Rogers is believed to be required by Arsenal, but there was also a relocation link with Chelsea. But for now, the two London clubs seem to be disappointed.

According to a soccer insider, former Aston Villa Scout Mick Brown has revealed that the club is confident in keeping Rogers’ services.

“Aston Villa wants to hold Rogers in hand, and it’s no surprise that the top clubs are watching him, because he was amazing. He’s called to the UK and featured in large quantities for them, turning his performances and clubs of interest.

“However, he ended up joining the team through the performance of the villa. They are sure they can protect him even on these financial issues they have. He plays such a crucial role in Unai Emery’s team.

It’s no wonder there’s a strong desire to keep him at Villa Park, as it’s essential that Aston Villa returns to qualify for the Champions League next season and keeps Rodgers.
