Celtic recently confirmed the first signature of the summer transfer window when it announced left-back Kieran Tierney as his latest arrival at Parkhead.
Six years after relocating to the Emirates in 2019, Scotland International is taking part in a free transfer from Arsenal, the Premier League, when its contract with the Gunners expires at the end of this month.
Tierney, as you can see from the graphics above, won five Scottish Premiership titles in Glasgow’s first spell, and hopes to add to that tally in the coming years.
Hoops are looking to add options to their team by the end of the summer transfer period, but Brendan Rodgers will also need to address speculation about the future of his star player.
Football Insider last month reported that Nicolas Schoon and Deisenmeda have been attracting attention from other clubs this summer. It is also unclear whether he will remain in Glasgow past the end of the window.
Of course, Rogers doesn’t want to lose his star attacker ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. For example, because the kuhn leaves a large hole to fill the right side.
Why would it be a big blow to the Celts to lose Nicholas Kuhn?
The German winger leaves Parkhead before the end of the summer transfer window will be a major blow to the Scottish giants due to the quality they can provide at the top of the pitch.
Kuhn, who joined the club from Rapid Vienna in the beginning of 2024, went through this term for six months to settle down as Prime Minister in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 25-year-old finished the season with 21 eye-catching goals and 15 assists in 51 appearances in all of the Hoops tournaments, including three goals and one assist on 10 outings in the Champions League.

As you can see from the table above, most of his assists appeared in the Premiership, where he led the league for his winger and assists in every position.
The former Bayern Munich Academy star also provided a major target threat on Scotland’s top flight, with 13 goals returning in 32 appearances in the division.
As both a scorer and a creator of the goal, his contribution at the top edge of the pitch is why losing him would be such a blow to the Celts, but they are reportedly looking at a star that could become the next koon.
Celtic discusses to sign a £2 million attacker
According to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, Celtic is speaking to president of Nordjaland winger Benjamin Niglen about the potential move to Parkhead this summer.
Reporters claim that Hoop has already approached the Danish club and asked for permission to speak to the forward, and they are currently in discussion with his agents.
Joseph added that if he can agree to personal terms with the attacker, Hoop will be talking to Nordgerland.
Meanwhile, Celtsarehere adds that the current contract with the Danish outfit is expected to expire at the end of December, and with interest from Belgian and German clubs, a fee of £2 million, sufficient to secure a deal for the 23-year-old star’s services would be sufficient.
Celtic has to work hard to convince Nygren to move to Glasgow this summer.
Why Nygren could be the next Kuhn after Celtic
The 23-year-old star is a great alternative for German attackers as he is forward of his left foot who wants to drift through the infield from his right flank.
This means that Nygren can play a similar tactical role to which Kuhn plays for Rogers on the Celtic team.
Swedish International, who was said to be “underrated” talent by the Danish scouts of X, has the quality of the ball to replicate the influence of Kuhn in front of the goal in that position.
Nygren scored 15 goals in 34 games during the 2023/24 campaign, and 16 goals in 32 games in all competitions this season.

As you can see from the table above, he was one of the top performance wingers in Super Liga during the 2024/25 campaign, and is ranked very very very very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very
His poor two tally should not be the cause of concern for his XA at 5.97. This suggests that he was disappointed by a wasted finish from his teammates rather than having two assists due to his lack of creativity.
So, Rogers was able to find his next version of Kuhn by completing his contract signing Nygren, as he is another left-footed right winger who could regularly provide goals and support for the Scottish giant, or who could get a high-quality chance.
It’s up to Rogers and the club to convince players to turn down interest from Belgium and Germany to win his signature race before the preseason begins next month.
