The Serbian star chased all the sets to his younger competitors and proceeded to 3-1, 4-2 before closing the set. The third set was roughly the same, with 24-time Grand Slam champions edging Zverev 6-2.

Just like the opening set, the fourth was a show before and after Zverev tried to take a way out of the deficit. However, Djokovic turned the outcome over and sealed the victory over Zverev 6-4.

His victory set Djokovic in the semi-final match against the criminal on Friday. No. 2 seed Carlos Alcaraz and No. 8 seed Lorenzomsetti will compete on the other side of the bracket to face the winner in Sunday’s championship match.
