Leeds United knows that after being promoted to the Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, they need to make important additions to the entire team.
Leeds United goalkeeper priorities this summer
After veteran shot stopper Carl Darlow had to finish the season between the sticks, the new goalkeeper will be on the Championship champion’s transfer priority list during the summer transfer period.
Iranian Meslier’s famous error was difficult for Daniel Fark to ignore, and the French had to sit on the bench for the final seven matches of the campaign.
The white man is reportedly watching a deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Jordi Petrovic this summer, omitted from the American Club World Cup team.
He spent the 2024/25 campaign, catching eye with an impressive performance in League One, preventing 7.91 goals and avoiding the error of achieving his direct target in 31 games on the French top flight.
Petrovich, Serbian International, came to resolve the Fark problem in Elland Road’s number one position if he could convince the Chelsea Stopper to switch to West Yorkshire.
Leeds also needs to need a strong defender in front of the goalkeeper to ensure they don’t get overworked, and the club is reportedly locked up at a new centre-back.
Leeds United agrees to signing and terms for the new centreback
According to Leedslive reporter Isaac Johnson, Udinese defender Jaka Bijol has a “consent” condition for his move to Elland Road in the summer transfer window, which is also supported by Italian reports broadcast by Sport Witness.
The journalists argue that white people are “growing with confidence” that they can reach an agreement with Serie A’s side about a deal to sign Slovenia International, which has already given them a green light.
Johnson adds that the fee of around £17 million should be sufficient to move across the line, and consultations are underway between the two clubs via fees.
Meanwhile, Italian outlet Tutttoudinese reports that negotiations are underway, with the Premier League already turning down a £14 million bid and the £15 million offer being improved.
Tuttoudinese has revealed that Bijol has opened the door to travel to Elland Road, thus backing up Johnson’s claim that players want to sign Leeds.

Leeds also links to Millwall’s interest in centre-back Jafetttanganga, but the statistics in the table above suggest that the Serie A star, called “air dominant” by writer Kyle Newbold, will become a better option of the two.
Bijol has proven he can deliver quality performance in one of Italy’s European major leagues, and was able to arrive in West Yorkshire as a strong signature on Farke’s team as a centre-back who can protect the goalkeeper signed to replace Meslier.
