TPC River Highlands, Cromwell, CT – Site for this week’s Traveller Championship on the PGA Tour – recently, it has been renovated by Bobby Weed after many architects have made changes over the past century. Founded in 1928 as the Middletown Golf Club, it became Edgewood Country Club in 1934. The PGA Tour took over the facility in the 1980s, and Pete Dai redesigned the layout that reopened in 1982 as Connecticut’s TPC.
Weed redesigned it as TPC River Highlands in 1989, and again worked on private courses in 2016, remodeling the bunkers and updating strategic demand. TPC River Highlands will play to 6,844 yards for 70 yards this week, by modern tour standards.
