  • Arsenal’s midfield confusion
  • Why would Agume be a great signature?
        • He made Saka more playable: Arsenal’s open talk signs £90 million “machine”

We might say that most years, but this time we feel it is especially true. This summer will be a big deal for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side finished runner-up in the Premier League for the third time in bounce this season and finished their fifth campaign without a major trophy.

So, getting the star player fit and appearing on the pitch will be key to finally getting past the line next season, but it’s important for Andrea Berta and CO to help their managers by bringing in some amazing talent in the coming weeks and months.

The good news seems to be happening as the gunners link to the midfield destroyer compared to the legendary Patrick Vieira, based on recent reports.

Arsenal’s midfield confusion

Both fans and critics are asking Arsenal to go outside and sign new numbers and at least one winger, but of course it’s definitely just as important for the club to bring in midfield reinforcements.

After all, Jorginho left to join Flamengo and based on a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, consultations over Thomas Partey’s new contract have not progressed, and the possibility that he will leave is now “specific.”

Luckily, Romano has also reaffirmed that the contract to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi is expected to continue, and the club is offering around £51 million, so it will be paid in installments.

But that still means that unless the Premier League runner-up moves forward to sign Lucien Agume, it will be shorter to the midfielders.

Yes, a recent report from Spain shows that Arsenal is interested in Sevilla Juster.

The report claims that gunners view the young French as a potential replacement for Part, but in order to get him through the door, the Spanish side will need to buy the remaining 40% of his rights from Inter Milan.

It’s unclear how much he will cost, but he won’t cost much as the 17,000-a week gem joined the Andalusian side last summer for between 4 million and 3.4 million euros.

Furthermore, due to his comparison with Vieira and the possibility of seeing him play with Zubimendi, this is a deal worth pursuing.

Why would Agume be a great signature?

Therefore, it is worth examining this comparison with Vieira before looking at how he can complement and learn from Zubimendi. The former invincibility is undoubtedly one of Arsenal’s best players.

Well, in this example, it comes from respected talent scout Jacek Kulig. Jacek Kulig completed the profile of the youth in 2019.

He came to this conclusion by pointing out the strength of the game’s mirror, including his ability to control the midfield through a combination of pinpoint precise paths and immeasurable physical and mental strength.

These attributes have not left him from that initial report either. The person who data analyst Ben Matinson gets lyrical about him in the winter, “comprising of dictating the tempo,” “good duller,” “good duller,” and just as importantly, is a predominantly defensive midfielder.

This can be seen much with his outstanding underlying numbers. FBREF is in the top 3% of the midfielders in Europe’s top 5 leagues against the percentage of successful take-ons, top 4% of tackles and intercepts, top 5% of just interceptions, top 9% of average shot distance, top 12% of top 12% and top 12% of all 90.

So, if Partey leaves and Zubimendi enters as the starting six, it could potentially start offering some real competition, creating the perfect environment for Sevilla Ace to appear as a Spanish study, learning the role without much pressure, and eventually, sooner than expected – some real competition.

Furthermore, given his tenacity and similarities with Vieira in his silky passing range, there is no reason he was unable to start with Sociedad Star and Double Pivot in a particular game or form a bench when the team needed to hold the lead.

Ultimately, the “extraordinary” ace dubbed by former Seville manager Enrique Sanchez Flores, may not be a common name yet, but Agume appears to be on track to make him one.
