West Ham needs a big summer transfer window to bounce back from last season’s disappointment, but could lose one of the only first team strikers during the ongoing transfer period.

It’s no secret that West Ham has had striker problems in recent years. The club’s recruitment staff are struggling to sign people who have made a positive impact at London Stadium, which is why another new face is being targeted in 2025.

But before they join, they could lose a big arrival from last summer: Niclas Fullkrug.

As reported by Fichajes (via Claret & Hugh), Fullkrug is attracting interest from Real Madrid. Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso wants to sign the traditional number nine as another option for current striker Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid is grateful for the European caliber of the Fullkrag given its effective contribution to Borussia Dortmund and Germany in recent years. And at 32, he becomes the experienced head of a rather young team that Alonso has. This is further amplified by the imminent departure of 39-year-old Lucas Modric and Lucas Vazquez, 33.

Fullkrag, which also linked to travel to Barcelona, ​​has been a polarizing figure since joining West Ham, but it will be early July considering he will become the club’s only senior striker (Micail Antonio and Danny Ings are both signed next week). So, if Real Madrid calls over the next few weeks, there may be some resistance.
