Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in signing Bologna defender John Lukumi.
The 27-year-old Central Defender will close his contract next summer. Italian costumes allow you to try and sell him to avoid losing him for free. According to a report by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the player is valued at 28 million euros.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will move forward with an offer to sign him. They will also face competition with Aston Villa. The West Midlands Club is hoping to improve its defensive forces and is monitoring Columbia International.
Tottenham and Aston Villas can use John Lukumi
South America has the physical and technical attributes to get along well in the Premier League, and he proved to be a great addition to two clubs. The reported asking price is very reasonable for players of his quality. He was at the peak of his power and he was able to justify his investment.
Tottenham could lose Christian Romero this summer and need a quality alternative. South America could be the ideal alternative to World Cup winners. Aston Villa, meanwhile, looks defensively vulnerable and needs to be tightened in the back. It remains to be seen whether they can beat him to his signature.
The Premier League movements are attractive
Lucumi wants to play regularly next season, and the two clubs will need to offer him Gametime Assurances if they want to win the race for his signature.
Both clubs have the funds to pay him 28 million euros, which should still be seen. The opportunity to move into the Premier League may be exciting for him at this stage of his career. Once the transfer passes, he aims to test himself at the highest level.
The defenders have also been linked to the transition to the Premier League in the past.
