Crystal Palace is attacking midfielder Ebeki Eze. Previously, he talked about the heartbreak of leaving Arsenal’s academy when he was only 13 years old.

Currently a leading performer in the Premier League and full-england international, Eze has established himself as a player capable of making an impact at a very high level.

But for Eze, who was rejected as a young man by Arsenal and a series of other clubs, it wasn’t always that easy.

Eze’s breakthrough finally came at Queens Park Rangers.

According to Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport, the 26-year-old appears to be on Arsenal’s radar this summer, which could mean his return to the club that first let him go years ago.

In an interview with the independent back in 2020, Eze revealed how badly he took it when Gunner let him go.

“It started with Arsenal,” he said. “I was 13 (when it was released), and it was the worst.

“I remember crying in my room for a solid week, and my mother says it’s okay but I can’t get through it.

“Then I went to Fulham and finally started enjoying football again. I played Arsenal a few months later, but when I went to wave the academy manager, I started to surge. All the emotions were back.”

It is still unclear whether Arsenal’s move to Eze will undoubtedly occur. Jacobs also reports that Real Madrid’s Rodrigo is the target of his dreams.

Still, Eze has proven in the Premier League and clearly cares about the club.

Eze finished with 15 goals and 11 assists last season.

It’s easy to imagine that he can now take another step into him and give the sparks he needs to attack Mikel Arteta.

Also, after Eze was unable to make it at Arsenal first, then changed his career with such a powerful style, it would be a considerable story.
