Newcastle United began clicking on gear in the summer transfer market and began triple bidding for several top goals: Joao Pedro, Anthony Elanga and goalkeeper James Trafford.
Annoyed, all three offers were rejected. Telegraph reports that the total packages actually placed aside to embed the target for £125 million. I’m not sure what’s coming next, but I’m interested in all three players moving to St. James Park.
Magpies in particular can be accompanied by more strength across the frontline. Eddie Howe did an incredible job of bringing United back to the Champions League and winning the Carabao Cup title last season, but Newcastle can’t afford to suffer from another frustrating summer transfer window.
The aforementioned efforts will double, but Newcastle covers six, and has taken one of the most prominent forwards in the Premier League as a backup.
Newcastle is chasing the Premier League stars
According to catch-offside, Newcastle continues to monitor Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, and even sources have argued that Toon is seriously considering making concrete moves.
England International, for £40 million, returned from the promising Lawn Spell with Aston Villa last month, but is not expected to remain in Old Trafford after dropping out with Reuben Amorim.
Rashford’s preference is to sign Barcelona, but with Laliga champions prioritizing Nico Williams’ signature, Newcastle is ready to complete their dive.
How this will pan out as he wants a loan move yet.
What Marcus Rashford brings to Newcastle
Rashford is one of the most talented footballers to emerge from modern English production lines, but he has fallen on the roadside for the past few years, allowing him to carry out a career change from Man United.
The 27-year-old has yet to reach the saloon of his last chance, but he has overcome his ostensibly best year and doesn’t want to see them in vain.
In his Rip – Roaring Best, wide forward – centrally playable – is a robust and dangerous player, and suggests that he is a proven ability to gain important hauls in a particular campaign, and is a better signature than the likes of Pedro and Elanga.

There is definitely a decline in Rashford’s top flight career, but who can challenge the forward skill when he is appearing in his game? Certainly, just two years ago, journalist Mazola Morefeff declared him the “goal machine” for the Red Devils.
Pedro, 23, has yet to demonstrate the exact same clinical aptitude. In fact, the versatile forward fired 30 home goals from Brighton’s 70 games and was laid out with 10 assists, but 16 of his strikes came from the penalty spot, with Alexander Isaac assigned the role of a spot-kick in Hau’s outfit. There is no guarantee that the Brazilians will run to the ground.
As far as Elanga is concerned, Sweden International cuts off his trade on the right flank, so trading with either Pedro or Rashford will not directly affect him.
The Nottingham Forest star has been fantastic since leaving Man United and scoring six goals and 12 assists last year.
But even so, the arrival of Rashford means something more exciting than either deal. If Hau can get adjustments from the fallen superstar, he will actually have the most valuable offensive assets as the club returns to the European elite ball.
Ultimately, Newcastle’s above transfer offer suggests that Rashford is not currently at the top of his shopping list. Perhaps that’s because loan moves are actually preferred over £300,000 wingers.
However, if Newcastle ends up signing him, Howe’s tactical grasp may see Rashford return to his best form and lead the next chapter in his thrilling Tyneside journey.
