The summer swing of the PGA Tour rolled into Detroit this week for the 2025 Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club. After Keegan Bradley’s thrilling victory at the Travelers Championship last week (or Tommy Fleetwood’s heartbreaking loss depending on your perspective), the captain of the US Ryder Cup headlined as he approached the first US play captain since Arnold Palmer in 1962.
Despite the veteran standout barely cutting at Motor City while Bradley becomes a more realistic scenario each week, other US Ryder Cup hopes have made their point list later this summer, trying out additional events to inclusion in Beth Page Black. Outside the top six who automatically qualify for the Ryder Cup, Colin Morikawa is only three strokes from the lead when the move-day begins.
Given the lack of star power near the top of the leaderboard, Morikawa has a great opportunity to not only win his first tournament in two years, but also add the necessary Rider Cup points to secure a spot in Beth Page Black in New York. Morikawa’s victory will create momentum in the final majors of the year as the Royal Portrush open head in three weeks.
Here’s how you can see all the action in Detroit this weekend:
