Jared’s Rams Poem Sparks Fierce Backlash, Rival Eagles Fans Declare Hatred Toward Him

Jared Poole, a linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, candidly told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, “I hate Eagles fans. They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.” However, the Eagles and their supporters had the last laugh when Philadelphia defeated the Rams 28-22, securing a spot in the NFC Championship Game. Poole recorded four tackles, including three that resulted in losses, and two sacks in the hard-fought defeat.

Having faced Eagles fans as an NFL rookie—and having grown up a few hours north of Philadelphia—Poole now shows a begrudging respect for one of the league’s loudest fan bases. In an interview with Casey Lieger of Whistle Sports, he described Eagles fans as the most passionate opposing crowd and the toughest to face at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I have to give them that,” Poole said. “It’s like you’re going in, and they’re aggressive and loud. They definitely back their team.” He compared playing the Eagles to facing a college rival, where fans don’t hold back and try to throw off the players with rude comments, saying, “They’re not going to cross the line, but you’ll hear things like, ‘Hey, who you talking about?’”

Despite his respect, Poole’s admiration won’t soften the rivalry between the Eagles and Rams. The teams are set to meet again in Week 3 of the next season, with the Rams making their first visit to Philadelphia since their playoff clash.

For Poole, a 24-year-old rookie picked 19th overall in the 2024 draft out of Florida State, the season was a success despite the heated battles. He earned the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award and secured his first Pro Bowl selection.
