Nottingham Forest Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is aiming to use the summer 2025 transfer window to strengthen the teams that secured European qualifications in the previous term.

Given how well the club has worked throughout 2024/25, Forest could potentially win the conference league.

Santo has praised many potential targets, including Yunus Musa and Lucas Ulrich, but it appears as if one Serie A star is more linked than most…

The latest in Nottingham Forest’s interest in Timothy Wear

As widely reported earlier this month, Forest, including transfer insider Gianluca di Marzio, was thought to be interested in signing Timothy Wear this summer.

Juventus appeared to be asking Weah for just £12 million if they agreed to cash.

Last season, the American played 43 times for the Serie A Giants, scoring six goals, earning five assists in the process.

On top flight, he recorded an impressive target conversion rate of 24%, creating four major opportunities, and averaged 0.6 key passes per game.

He played in several positions last year. It is mainly on the right flank, with the midland side eager to strengthen.

But after intensifying the pursuit of one-off Celtic lenders, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed on Friday that, despite the “close” contract, the forest actually left negotiations after conducting “a wide-ranging data analysis.”

So, urban ground costumes may need to pay attention to other locations.

Why Nottingham Forest must sign Pepe

As reported by ESPN earlier this week, four Premier League clubs have begun speaking to sign Port Winger Pepe this summer.

The forest has been selected as one of those clubs along with Aston Villa, Fulham and Burnley. The fact that Santo led them to Europe shows that they could potentially become one of the front runners.

It is priced at £21 million. This is more than affordable for the Midlands.

Weah may be a cheap option, but Pepe is certainly a huge talent. Last season, Brazilian Dynamos impressively registered a total of 11 target contributions across all competitions.

Comparing pairs via national statistics from the previous period reveals who enjoyed the more productive campaign. In fact, not only did Pepe record shots per shot per 90 (1.36 vs. 1.15), but also registered more shot-making actions (2.71 vs. 1.98), goal-making actions (0.36 vs. 0.16), and more touches in the anti-prison (79 vs. 35), indicating his advantage in these metrics.

South American football expert Tim Vickery praised the winger a few seasons ago when he linked his move to Tottenham Hotspur.

“I certainly remember him as a Gremio, a winger who looks like a little mosquito.

His ability to play on either wing can also help, and Santo gives him some flexibility, especially if injuries start to play their role.

It is clear that managers want to bring them into forests that have proven capabilities at their greatest stages. Pepe, who scored in the Champions League Coparibatadores and Europa League and won two Brazilian caps, will be a great signing.
