  • Tottenham needs midfield depth
  • Jacob Ramsey could become a future asset

Tottenham Hotspur raced for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.

He needs to move on in search of regular play times rather than a regular Aston Villa starter. According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, Tottenham has been keeping an eye on him for a while and decided to make a move for the 24-year-old.

Brown told a football insider: “Tottenham was watching Jacob Ramsey.. Thomas Frank appreciates him, and he has been interested in one Spurs for a while. They had scouts keeping an eye on his performances and they now told his agents what it would take to take him. ”

Tottenham needs midfield depth

He can act as a winger on the left and as a central offensive midfielder. He added creativity and was able to drive in the middle of a Tottenham park. He has the physicality and technical attributes to operate in multiple offensive roles, and he could be the ideal utility man for Tottenham.

They need more depth on the side and if they want to do well in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League next season. Ramsey could be a very useful acquisition.

The British midfielder has received high praise in the Premier League and he has a bright future. He needs to join a club where he has ample opportunity. If Tottenham promises him regular match times, he is certainly excited to join them.

Aston Villa doesn’t see him as an important part of their plans, so it’s unlikely that they will stop him from leaving. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham has come forward with an official proposal to close the transaction.

If Tottenham could sign him for a reasonable amount, the deal might look like a masterstroke in the long run. Thomas Frank appreciates the players and he may be able to bring out the best of him.
