🏌 A Morning Salute to…

Brian Campbell

This week, Brian Campbell clinched the 2025 John Deere Classic, marking his second win on the PGA Tour for the season. At TPC Deere Run, he and Emiliano Grillo were tied for the lead at 18-under par. With a solid performance for most of the final round, Campbell faltered briefly on hole 15 with a double bogey, allowing Grillo to catch up. The competition went into a playoff where Campbell made par while Grillo recorded a bogey, securing Campbell’s second title this year.

His previous victory came at the Mexican Open in February. Patrick McDonald noted that Campbell had struggled in the weeks leading up to this win, hitting no higher than a T32. Nevertheless, this victory places him alongside other notable players like Rory McIlroy and Scotty Scheffler who have also secured multiple wins this season, as he pockets a hefty $1.5 million for the tournament.

Although Grillo finished second, he competed strongly, similar to Max Homa, while Ben Griffin faced issues, missing the cut.

Some key players were missing, including star Christian Pulisic, but the emergence of young talent like Diego Luna offers a glimmer of hope.

🏈 Evaluating the Worst College Football Jobs Since 2000

As college football fans ponder coaching vacancies, a recent ranking by John Tarty identifies the 25 worst jobs in the past 25 years. Some notable mentions include coaches like Mike Locksley and Mike Price. Notably, Tennessee and Kansas have both had former coaches ranked among the top ten.
