Wimbledon is the third tournament each year at the Grand Slam Tennis Circuit, and is held after the Australian Open and French Open before the US Open. First held in 1877, Wimbledon is held annually at the All England Lawn Tennis and Crockett Club in London.

In the 2024 women’s final, Barbora Krejcikova defeated Jasmine Paolini to take home her first Wimbledon title and second Grand Slam title. Carlos Alkaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the 2024 men’s final.

Tennis greats such as Roger Federer and Martina Navratirova have won several top-notch tournaments. Federer leads the best men’s field ever with eight wins, while Nabratilova is in front of the women’s field with nine titles.

This year’s event will be held from June 30th to July 13th. In the men’s singles semi-finals, Alkaraz faces off against Taylor Fritz, while Djokovic faces Janik Sinner. In the women’s singles semifinals, Aryna Sabalenka takes on Amanda Anisimova and Belinda Benchic will face off against Iga Swiatek. Fans can participate in ESPN tournaments.

*The women’s tournament began in 1884.

**Due to World War I and World War II, the men’s and women’s tournaments were cancelled on 1915-18 and 1940-45.
