Maynooth, Ireland – British golfer LottyWaard became the first amateur in three years after winning a six-shot victory at the Women’s Ireland Open on Sunday.
The world’s No. 1 amateur, Woad entered the final round with a seven-stroke lead and shot a 4-under 69.
Woad, 21, finished at face value at 21 in the tournament. He made six strokes ahead of Sweden’s second-place Madelene Sagstrom. New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey was third.
Before the amateurs won the European Women’s Tour event, it was when Janamelikova won the Czech Women’s Open in 2022.
