LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Paul Peterson was interrupted in three rounds of play in the ISCO Championship, which was delayed by lightning due to darkness as he held a one-stroke lead on three holes Saturday night.

Playing at the Hurstbourne Country Club was suspended for a total of about three hours in the afternoon at an anti-field PGA Tour event approved by the European Tour.

Peterson was 5 under in the round and 10 years old overall. The 37-year-old PGA Tour rookie was stopped after hitting a second shot 30 feet in par 4 16th place. He had begun his 20th career PGA Tour start.

Jang Kim, the 5 strokes that entered the round were second. He bogeyed No. 11 and No. 12, and hadn’t teeed off at 13 when the play of the day was called.

David Skins and Luke’s list came in third at 7 under. The Skins closed the day by making an 8-foot birdie putt on the par 4 on the 15th, but the list had a bogeyless 65 to take the clubhouse lead. 12 players were unable to finish.

Tournament winners will receive a two-year exemption and a PGA Championship spot next year. There will be no one at the UK opening next week. Harry Hall, the winner of the playoffs at Keene Trace last year, is qualified for the British Open and plays the Scotland Open.

Auburn junior Jackson Kovrung was tied to 15th place at 3 after age 68. He finished 11th in the John Deere Classic last week.

The initial delay lasted for 1 hour and 36 minutes, then resumed at 3pm, the second took 1 hour and 55 minutes, and play restarted at 7:05pm
