The Phoenix Mercury have two remaining games before the WNBA All-Star break, both on the road. They will face the Golden State Valkyries at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14th, broadcast on Family 3TV in Arizona.

The Valkyries finished June with a 7-4 record (.636), including three victories by more than 24 points, winning four of their last five games. Head coach Natalie Nakaze earned the WNBA Coach of the Month award for June.

Earlier this season, the Mercury defeated the Valkyries 86-77 at the PHX Arena. Golden State’s forward Kayla Thornton, who is among the WNBA’s top 10 players this season, made her first All-Star appearance on July 12th, marking a milestone for the franchise.

Following that, the Mercury will take on the Minnesota Lynx at Target Center at 10 a.m. on July 16th, with the game airing on Family Sports in Arizona. The Lynx hold the best record in the WNBA, led by MVP contender Napheesa Collier. Collier and Kate Linklark were named the All-Star captains after receiving the highest fan votes.

The WNBA All-Star Break is scheduled from July 17-21, with the All-Star Game to be held at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis on July 19.

Fan Take: These upcoming matchups are crucial for Phoenix Mercury fans eager to see their team build momentum heading into the All-Star break. Strong performances from stars like Thornton and Collier highlight the growing talent in the league, signaling an exciting future for the WNBA and increased fan engagement.
