Wimbledon, England — Bulgaria’s Ivan Ivanov won his first Grand Slam title by beating 6-2, 6-3 Ronit Kalki, 6-2, 6-3 in the Wimbledon Juniors final on Sunday.

Ivanov, 16, became the second Bulgarian to win the title in 2008, following Grigor Dimitrov.

He never faced a breakpoint with Kalki and finished with 22 winners compared to his opponents. In the second set, he lost just three points on his first serve.

“I felt very good about my serve today,” Ivanov said. “Probably my best weapon today.”

This victory gives Ivanov the opportunity to attend Wimbledon’s traditional champion dinner.

But first, he has to find something suitable to wear to a black tie event.

“We’re dealing with it now (the outfit),” he said. “I didn’t think I would win. That’s a good question.”

Karki was about to become his first qualifier to win a title since Noah Rubin in 2014.
