  • Alejandro Garnacho refused to move to Saudi Arabia
  • Man United is trying to offload unwanted players

Manchester United’s transfer window has given him a surprising twist as winger Alejandro Garnacho reportedly rejected a favorable offer from Al Nasr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, to carry on staying in the Saudi Arabian side, particularly Europe and the Premier League in particular.

Garnacho is leaving the club this summer after manager Reuben Amorim revealed that the young winger is not part of his plans for the future at Old Trafford.

The Argentine star is looking for a new club and is gaining interest from Saudi Arabia, but players are reportedly not keen on a transition to the Middle East.

He wants to continue his career at the top level and play in one of the top leagues in the world, particularly in the Premier League.

Telegraph’s Mike McGrath reports that despite the debate, Garnacho’s move to Saudi Arabia is off as it has other desires.

“Alejandro Garnacho has rejected the opportunity to pursue a move to Al Nassl in Saudi Arabia.” I wrote McGrath.

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s team had their first discussion to take part in the SPL title challenge, but was 21 years old to prioritize Europe.

“Manchester United have allowed him to see the move.”

Ghanacho, just 21 years old, is one of five well-known players seeking move away from Old Trafford this summer, with the others Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrel Malacia.

The Red Devils are looking to make major changes to their team after the disappointing 2024/25 season, sales of the players mentioned above will help fund their new signatures.

Despite his opportunity to join Ronaldo and join the Saudi Arabian boom league, Garnacho has made it clear that his ambition is to stay in Europe and that he doesn’t want anywhere. He wants to stay in the Premier League.
