Back in the transfer market, Celtic now reportedly agrees to a contract to sign the offensive reinforcement their Parkhead Scouts loved when they were sent to see him in action.

The latest incoming Celtic calls

While the old company rivals Rangers were desperate in their quest for reinforcement, Celtic has, of course, taken a more considered approach as a more considered Scottish premiership champion. But that doesn’t mean they have endured completely quiet windows ever. In fact, they welcome five fresh faces, and Benjamin Niglen leaves behind a bunch of picks.

The talented winger could be among those tasked with replacing Nicolas Scoon, who is reportedly planning to join Serie A-side Como in a deal worth around 19 million euros (£16 million) this summer.

Manager Brendan Rogers recently spoke out about Kuhn’s pending departure and told reporters. “We have effectively agreed between the club and Como, so we see at this point that he will go down his path, but we just have to wait for confirmation.

“I think it’s very clear as a Celtic model. He came in and in 18 months he did absolutely great things for us. He was interested at the end of last season.

“Other teams have been involved in that interest over the summer, which is why so many young players come in. It’s a great club that comes in and comes to development and improvement.”

Celtic agrees to Yamada’s signature

As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic has agreed to a £1.5 million deal to sign Yamada from Kawasaki front this year. The Japanese forward is set to travel to the UK to complete medical care at the club and confirm his move to the Scottish champion.

He is currently playing the Japan’s East Asia Football Championship in Korea, featuring 45 minutes in a 6-1 victory over Hong Kong on Tuesday.

After the scouts loved the 25-year-old striker, Celtic decided to make their move in an attempt to welcome their latest Japanese talent after Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate by trading Scotland’s J1 leagues.

Called “impressive” by Hudl Wyscout, Yamada hopes to return to his 2024 form with Celtic, following the previous difficult campaign on the front of Kawasaki.

The forward, who scored just six goals in all competitions last season, struggled unexpectedly and is now hoping to put a disappointing shape behind him ahead of the biggest moves of his career.
