What to do with Rasmus Hojlund? On the one hand, Dane is a talented young striker, with Manchester consolidating a total of £702 million in 2023. Meanwhile, he flattered the 2024/25 campaign.
Reuben Amorim took the wheels of a wreck when he exchanged Eric Teng Hugs last November, but he does not deny that the Portuguese tactician was unable to retrieve the desired song from his Red Devils forces.
United finished 15th in the Premier League and lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final. The whole team didn’t have the flow and confidence, but Hodzilund had little benefit to himself, scoring only three goals in 32 league matches, leaving only one shot per game per sofa score.
His calamity has led to expectations, or at least hopes, that he will be offloaded this summer, and discussions are waiting for him while Inter Milan registers their interest this summer. Old Trafford technical director Jason Wilcox is unclear whether he will approve the 22-year-old’s departure.
Hojlund’s future is in the air, but it is clear that Ineos and Amorim are in agreement on their view that a new, high-performance centre is needed.
Let’s take a look at the latest information.
Latest Man UTD striker search
They started with Liam Dellup. Man United released his £30 million release clause, so many among clubs interested in Ipswichtown strikers, after relegation of his side from the Premier League.
But it was Chelsea who activated the clause and added him to their ranks.
Still, United’s signing a future transfer between CUNHA and MBEUMO could redefine the forefront of Amorim, with Therre as another number nine that could be seduced by a team chasing this revival.
Sadly, the striker doesn’t look like he’ll become Viktor Gyoker. ViktorGyoker is on strike in Sport Lisbon as he is trying to design a transition to Arsenal, which is in the final stage following Fabrizio Romano.
Gunners’ shortlist now comes in two, but you can’t have both. Therefore, the door was opened for United to create a spectacular dive.
According to Transfer Insider Graeme Bailey, Man United is one of the candidates for RB Leipzig Striker Benjamin Sesko, valuing 90 million euros (approximately £78 million).
It is its substantial price tag that effectively ends Arsenal’s long-standing interest in Slovenia International, promoting Gyoker’s contract instead.
It may prove to be a success for the Red Devils as Sesco camp is in contact with United and secure the well-established transfer the 22-year-old is hoping to secure.
But Wilcox needs to work quickly if they lift the mood on Manchester’s red side, and Bailey makes sure Liverpool and Newcastle United are also informed of the situation at Sesco.
Why should a man sign Benjamin Sesco?
Sesko will recognize that signing Man United this summer means a continental, uncontested season. However, after that, Leipzig was unable to qualify for Europe in the previous period, and the demon has an ambitious plan that will help the fierce forward realize.
It is called “The New Haaland” by Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, a clinical nature of Sesko.
While Sesco may not be as perfect as Gyoker (yet) he is a world-class striker production, and analyst Ben Matinson says he has a “good profile” for the Swedish star in early 2025.
It may not look like that at face value as Gyoker scored 97 goals and supplied 28 assists in 102 matches for Sports Lisbon, winning Liga Portugal in each of his two terms.
Additionally, the 27-year-old proved his quality in last year’s Champions League, sending a spectacular hat-trick against Manchester City under the wing of Amorim.
However, Gyoker is not spring chicken and has not yet competed in one of Europe’s top five divisions. However, Sesko competes in a tougher league with fewer advantages to show his authority.
Therefore, it can be speculated that the Slovenians were playing ninth in the sport in Portugal, or that they would produce his own high-level tally.

Clearly, Passpass isn’t his strong suit, but Sesco’s strength and movement as a frontman is something to be admired, truly heading the physical side of the game.
It’s certainly interesting to note that he’s getting better and better, scoring 27 goals and relying on his past two Bundesliga campaigns to only beg for 18 big chances.
In fact, Sesko’s 39 goals over two seasons and eight assisted returns to Leipzig were played in just 87 matches in all competitions, of which 62 came from the start.
We hope Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo are adjacent to Amorim’s central striker at the theatre of Dreams next season. Sesko helped his experienced and Premier League demonstrated teammates to strengthen him and realize his potential.
And the possibilities are enormous. Who knows if Sesko is running or if Gyoker hits the ground, but Amorim wants to bring Old Trafford back to the greenhouse for development and success.
