Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham United on a £55 million contract last week, becoming Thomas Frank’s first major signing since taking the reins at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ghanaians will be offering important quality and depth in many important areas within Lily White’s team next season, and have the versatility to appear in many positions.

He can operate in any of the wider regions, but he can also operate in the role of No. 10, leaving Frank to determine the role of the 24-year-old.

However, the new boss may want more additions to strengthen his side to support his potential for immediate success in the Premier League.

Countless names have been promoted recently on the move to North London, with multiple players appearing to be more than just Lilywhites’ interest.

Latest new additions on Spurs hunting this summer

In recent days, reports have been revealed that they will link Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton with the move to Spurs, but it could be priced out of his signature move.

This summer, the 21-year-olds claimed they could be used for a fee in the £100 million region.

However, according to TBR Football, Ardon Jashari, the star of Club Bruges, is a key target for the club, has been in the mix for a different name over the past few days.

Their latest report claims that the Lily White people conducted an investigation to sign the 22-year-old central midfielder in this window, and the Swiss star now believes it is currently £32 million.

It also states that many other Premier League sides, including Nottingham Forest and Everton, remained in the race of his signature after they disagreed to AC Milan before this window.

Why Spurs’ £32 million target is better signed than Wharton

Given his rapid rise to stardom over the past few months, it’s no surprise to see Eagles star Wharton being promoted through this window in a big money move away from Selhurst Park.

Despite his tender age, he was named the Euro 2024 team 12 months ago and had the ability to become a monster hit in North London if he made any moves to join Frank’s team.

However, the £100 million fee advertised for his signature is horrifying and can be paid by Lily White for the possibility that he was given a youthful year.

Other players should consider for improvement in the middle of the park where cheaper alternatives suggested by the hierarchy may be seen.

It’s safe to say that Jashari could be the perfect star in such a division. That’s if his numbers in Belgium last season are what pass.

The midfielder, labeled “seriously talented” by analyst Ben Matinson, was able to register a 61% take-on success, with 2.2 carry earning a carry in the final third.

He was able to add the final product to Mazy Runs, completing 7.3 passes in the final third per 90. Of these, 1.3 was defined as key paths, higher than both Wharton tally during the 2024/25 campaign.

Jashari’s excellent numbers didn’t stop there, completing 87% of the attempted passes and assisting in posting a tally of last year’s seven goals and assists.

£32 million may seem to cost a player that has not been proven on the UK’s top flights, but it is clear from the statistics generated from the aforementioned statistics that he is a player with great potential.

If he can bring such a form into the Premier League, the hierarchy can forget Wharton’s moves, then avoid the added tax around the English players, and land another huge talent on Frank’s side in the hunt of Dane for success in North London.
