The final golf major of the season will finish in the fourth round of the 2025 Open Championship, held at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland on Sunday. World No. 1 Scotty Scheffler held a one-shot lead heading into the third round, extending his lead to four shots on Saturday. British man Matt Fitzpatrick (-9) fell to five shots behind Schaeffler (-14), with Haotong Lee (-10) in second place. Rory McIlroy is one of four eight-year-old golfers after filming 5 under Saturday. Leaders will tee off Sunday at 9:30am.

The Open Championship Odds on Sunday 2025 lists the Fan Duell Sportsbook and lists Schaeffler as the -700 favorite ($700 risk to win $100) heading into the final round. McIlroy is 20-1, Li is 25-1, and Fitzpatrick is 28-1. Also, Tyrrell Hatton, who is at 8 under, is next on the PGA odds board at 45-1. Before you lock into the 2025 Open Championship Sunday Pick, be sure to check out the 2025 Open Championship forecasts and expected leaderboards from the Sportsline’s proven computer models.

The Sportsline’s proprietary model, built by DFS Pro Mike McClure, has been red hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model has surpassed $8,500 on its best bet since its post-tournament reboot.

This same model has captivated a whopping 15 majors over the weekend, including the 2025 Masters (the fourth Masters), this year’s PGA Championship, and last year’s US Open. Anyone who followed the sports bet pick could have seen a big return. Top 2025 Open Championship Prediction

One surprise the model is hoping for at the 2025 Open Championship: Li will stumble in second solo at 10 under, stumbling on Sunday and breaking out of the top five.

Li once rose to 32nd place in the world and then fell outside the top 500 in the official world golf rankings, but it resurfaced this week. However, this is his first appearance in the major championship since 2022, and he has only had one top-15 finish in the majors in his career. He’s done well to stroll around so far, but he will play in the final pairing under pressure on Sunday, and the model will not remain in the top five by the end of the round. Look at others fade on the sports line.

Another surprise: Xander Schauffele, a long shot at 80-1, has a strong run in the title. He is the target of anyone looking for a huge payday, as he has a much better chance than his odds imply.

The winner of the Defending Open Championship came together on Saturday, shooting five to bring together one of the most impressive rounds of the day and move to eighth place on the leaderboard. Schauffele only had three shots behind Li in second place, allowing him to rely on his major experiences from last year. He won the PGA Championship last year and finished in the top eight in all four majors, so he knows what it takes to run on Sunday. This model likes him as a deep long shot for him to win and recommends him as a top five bet (+170). See who else will be back on Sportsline.
