Aston Villa is interested in Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho during the summer transfer and could face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham.

The 21-year-old South American attacker has linked his move from Old Trafford, and he wants to continue playing British football. The player reportedly did his homework at Aston Villa’s manager Unai Emery, and he is excited about the possibility of working with him. It is still unclear whether West Midlands Club will be able to get trades across the line.

Graeme Bailey revealed on TBR:

“However, Aston Villa has emerged as an option. I’ve been told that I’ve done his homework on the possibility that the player will work with Unai Emery and he’s heard good things.

“Emery knows how to get songs from these young talents, and I’ve seen them alongside things like Morgan Rogers.

“The villas want to have some kind of impact on the market this summer, and Garnacho might be just that for them.”

They need more quality and depth in attacking units, and Argentina could prove to be a useful acquisition. He scored 11 goals last season and earned 10 assists. He is versatile enough to work on either side, creating opportunities for his teammates and helping to open up the deep defenses of Aston Villa.

They are overreliant on Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins for the attack. Aston Villa will need more depth in the final third if they want to do well next season. They want to promote Champions League qualifications and need quality players.

South America is a very talented player with great potential and has managed to grow into future stars for them with the right guidance. Emery is a quality manager who did well to bring out the best young players and was able to unlock the true potential of Manchester United attackers.

It will be interesting to see if Aston Villa can secure an agreement with his club.

Chelsea and Spurs remain enthusiastic about Garnacho

Chelsea and Tottenham are also deeply lacking in the larger area. The 21-year-old adds unpredictability, pace and technical ability to the side. He is a long-term outlook and it is still unclear whether the London club has decided to put his offer forward.

Tottenham already remains in contact with him, and Chelsea is also a admirer of the players. Meanwhile, there have been reports that Manchester United are willing to be reasonable in their demands on Garnacho.
