Three-time world champion Alvaro Bautista has stated that his aim is to keep racing in 2026, feeling confident that he will be the main contender competing against Nicolo Bulega next year. While Bautista won’t be continuing with Ducati under his current contract in 2026, it doesn’t rule out him still riding the Panigale V4 R; rather, it means he is keeping his options open.

The Spanish rider, who secured the Ducati World Superbike titles in both 2022 and 2023, expressed satisfaction with his speed and outlook for the 2026 season. Speaking to worldsbk.com before the Hungarian round, Bautista said he felt calm about the upcoming season, aiming to perform at a high level and compete within the top three in the rider championships.

With Toprak Razgatlioglu moving to MotoGP next year, Bautista expects Nicolo Bulega to be his main rival and is not concerned about others surpassing him. He is confident in his performance and believes everything happens for a reason, focusing on the remaining races this season and savoring every moment.

Bautista also emphasized his strong mental and physical condition, feeling that he still has much to offer in World Superbike racing. He confirmed that his goal is to keep racing, aiming for strong results because he doesn’t want to be just another rider. His ongoing fight for podium finishes shows he believes there is still great potential and performance left in him.

Fan Take: Bautista’s determination to continue racing and challenge new rivals highlights the competitive spirit that keeps World Superbike thrilling. His presence ensures fierce battles on track, promising exciting seasons ahead that fans won’t want to miss.
