  • Why Chelsea may be the best place to transfer Alexander Isaac
  • Is ISAK actually worth the enormous transfer fee?

Despite their strong ties with Liverpool, Chelsea is reportedly worth watching in the race this summer to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac.

The Swedish international situation makes many headlines today as it became clear that he wanted to leave St. James Park.

Craig Hope of the Daily Mail was the first to report that Isaac wanted to explore travelling from Newcastle, but the Times added that the 25-year-old refused an offer for a new contract from the Magpie.

Currently, the Independent has slightly replayed links with Liverpool. Liverpool has just signed Hugo Ekitike ahead of time and says it is probably the most likely option.

Why Chelsea may be the best place to transfer Alexander Isaac

Chelsea have a budget to buy Isaac, but Arsenal definitely isn’t. They also have no doubt a need for another sign-up as the LFC has just signed Ekitique and still have Darwin Nunes and Louis Diaz as options for that position.

Still, the report also states that Chelsea’s entry into the race for Isaac would mean a major breakthrough from their current strategy and philosophy.

Recent blues recruitment has been almost entirely focused on signing the best young players for long-term projects.

In contrast, Isaac is already at the peak of his power, and independence suggests that he could cost him as much as £150 million.

Is ISAK actually worth the enormous transfer fee?

With his ability alone, there is no doubt that Isak is one of the most outstanding strikers in world football at the moment.

However, £150 million is a huge sum and is an independent note that some clubs question the very divergence of his fitness record as not the best.

Chelsea already has Liam Dellup and Joa Pedro, but the latter of these two latter can play not only in centre forwards but also in other offensive positions.

It will be interesting to see how this saga develops and whether Newcastle’s asking price will ultimately make this impossible for the club.
