After spending the past two weeks in Scotland and Northern Ireland, the PGA Tour is back in the state with a 2025 3M opening in TPC Twin City, Blaine, Minnesota. Most of the top players in the world will have two weeks off in Europe, but there’s still a lot to do for those who are probably short on this season.
Jockeys only have two weeks left due to playoff positioning for the FedEx Cup. So now that the cuts are taking place, there will be a huge opportunity for people on the field this weekend. The top 100 people in the FedEx Cup rankings next week will lock their PGA Tour cards in 2026. This has been toned from 125 players previously. The golfers are also aiming for a top 70 position to create their first playoff event, the St. Jude Classic. Meanwhile, top 50 spots are exempt from all eight signature events on the 2026 calendar.
Wyndham Clark (51st), Tony Finau (59th), and Ricky Fowler (63rd) are one of the most notable names to tackle that final category. Meanwhile, Adam Scott (85th), Tom Kim (89th), and Max Homa (102nd) are hoping they can win the playoffs. Not only do they feel pressure to perform this week, they can see that it can create a compelling tournament and have a big impact on the playoffs and next season.
Here’s how you can see that drama unfolding in TPC Twin City this weekend:
