Bradley Ray secured his 10th victory of the season at the British Superbike opener held at Brand Hatch, although the first race proved challenging for the racers. Starting from pole position, #28 quickly took the lead into the first turn but was closely pursued by Scott Redding on the final lap after initially creating the gap he wanted.

Ray mentioned they were setting a steady pace early on to build the gap. However, during the mid-race, the gap fluctuated, and he experienced an unusual sensation with his bike. Leading the race brought its own pressure, especially as he relied heavily on his pitboard to monitor the gap, a dynamic Ray likened to endurance racing.

He described the race as stressful, constantly checking the pitboards without certainty if his lead was increasing or decreasing. By the final laps, he was pushing his limits, feeling the endurance aspect of the race fully as it was long and demanding. Despite the difficulty, Ray held on to claim the win, beating his Brand Hatch curse and earning his first podium at the circuit.

Reflecting on the competition, Ray acknowledged the strong performances from Scott and Kyle at different race stages and anticipates a significant battle in the upcoming race. He also noted a few areas to improve, especially for the second half of the race.

Fan Take: This win not only solidifies Bradley Ray’s dominance this season but also sets the stage for an intense rivalry that could make the upcoming races thrilling for fans. The fierce competition and endurance element highlighted here elevate the excitement and unpredictability of British Superbike racing, promising a captivating season ahead.
