Arsenal fans would hardly believe it, but Arsenal’s star centre-back Gabriel Magalhães made the absolutely shocking mistake of giving away a goal to Bournemouth star Evanilsson.

The Gunners were on the back foot early on as Gabriel somehow completely lost his strategy for a moment and passed the ball into his own penalty area, allowing Evanilsson to easily find the back of the net.

Normally it would be unrealistic to see such a terrible blunder from Gabriel, one of Arsenal’s best players and indeed one of the best defenders in world football, but it’s in the video clip below…

There wouldn’t have been many easier goals for Evanilson, and Bournemouth briefly took the lead against Arsenal.

Gabriel made up for his mistake almost immediately.

But in typical Gabriel fashion, he made up for his mistake brilliantly almost immediately to make it 1-1.

A surprisingly prolific scorer considering he’s a centre-back, the Brazil international was able to tuck the ball in with some fine work from Noni Madueke after Declan Rice’s initial free-kick had been cleared.

Watch Gabriel’s goal in the first 20 minutes of an eventful match for him below.

Arsenal fans will be hoping to see more of the side they saw earlier in the game, but it won’t be an easy game away at Bournemouth.

AFC go into this game with a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, but Manchester City will be hoping to pick up three points again as they are sure to be fierce competitors until the end.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, have had a strong start to the season but have not been in the best form of late, so they will be hoping to make a comeback today if possible.
