Joao Felix is set to continue his career in the Saudi Arabian professional league, as multiple sources report that Al-Nassr has officially reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of the 25-year-old forward. The deal could amount to as much as £44 million, including potential add-ons, but Chelsea was able to secure a significant selling point in the contract.

Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid last summer but did not live up to expectations during his time at Stamford Bridge. He was loaned to AC Milan towards the end of last season; however, despite having the option to make the move permanent, they opted to return him to Chelsea due to uncertainties about his consistent performance.

As Felix’s second stint with Chelsea nears its conclusion, he has made 40 appearances for the club in various competitions, netting 13 goals—11 of which were scored and 2 assists provided during his loan in the latter half of the 2022/23 season.

Fan Take: This news is significant for soccer fans as it highlights the growing trend of high-profile players moving to leagues outside of Europe, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Such shifts could reshape the competitive landscape of international soccer, prompting fans to reassess the future of their favorite leagues and clubs.
