The 22-year-old, who earned 21 goals and 23 assists since joining Leipzig on his first loan at the start of 2023/2024, moved to the Bundesliga permanent in January, but he is now ready to leave Germany in the Premier League.
“Xavi is another player.” Barcelona forward and former Tiemmate Daniormo told the official Leipzig website.
“He’s shown he’s been here before. We connect really well on the pitch, but he can do things on his own. He has amazing dribbling techniques.
“He’s a really perfect player and for us, our system, our play, our ideas, our coach’s ideas, it’s perfect for us. Now he’s really in a really good mood, in a really good shape, this is very helpful.”
Elsewhere, Chelsea has also been locked into a contract with Ajax defender Zrell Hato after agreeing to personal terms with the Dutch, who was removed from John Haitittya’s side as he won Celtic 5-1 Como Cup earlier this week.
In these reports, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport lifted the lid of Juventus Sensation Kenan Yildiz’s Chelsea approach.
Chelsea makes an offer close to £61 million to sign Juventus forward Kenan Ildis
According to Lagazzetta, via Calcio Mercato, Chelsea filed a £610 million bid to Yildiz, but Juventus rejected anything out of hand.
Turkish International is considered the Igor Tudor team as key players for next season. They are once again trying to become title challengers. Juve also sought to unite Yildiz by launching a talk about the new contract.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been appointed as fellow 20-year-old suitors, but the old lady is about to delve into her heels after Yildiz’s impressive 2024/2025 campaign.
He would have been an interesting alternative to Simons, but as the former PSG starlet talks progress, it appears unlikely that Yildiz will switch to West London.
“Kenan has great potential and he has a rare qualities. He can make a difference in the midfielder dynamism ahead of time,” Tudor said of the player.
“He’s a special talent, but it’s his way of thinking that takes him far.”
