Chelsea will continue to be busy for the rest of the summer transfer period, with both signing and sales expected. One of the players falling into the latter category is Nicholas Jackson, who has been strongly linked to travelling away from Stamford Bridge with the arrival of Joan Pedro and Liam Dellup.
Jackson had been struggling for two years at Chelsea, but has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances. If he leaves, it’s likely that he’ll stay in the Premier League. However, neither club is ready to move at the current asking price, which is believed to be in the £80 million region.
Nicholas Jackson seeks a price to be defeated by Chelsea
According to a soccer insider, finance expert Stefan Borson said Chelsea is expected to lower Jackson’s asking price, given that none of the clubs interested in Senegale strikers are willing to pay the current rating.
“It really doesn’t matter what Chelsea is looking for because they haven’t paid £8 billion to Nicholas Jackson. First of all, I don’t believe it. But secondly, no one is paying it explicitly.
“I think it’s been pretty long and quite a bit for United. This depends on their exit from now on. They’re dealing with the situation at Rashford.
“I think Jackson is like a deal at the Madueke level, a £60 million contract, some sort of loan and potential deal. I think £8 billion to £100 million is clearly a pie in the sky. Maybe they can do that deal, one of them is Chelsea.
It is still unknown where Jackson will end when the summer transfer window closes. He managed to stay at Chelsea, but he is as equal as possible to move away.
