Audi has announced a new title sponsorship for its 2026 debut Formula 1 season, with Financial Technology Company Revolut taking part in the sport for the first time.
The current Sauber team will be outfits for Audi Works starting next season, with Revolut replacing the stakes as title partners. Audi described the deal as a “groundbreaking deal,” attracting what ranked Europe’s most valuable technology company last year, earning a $45 billion valuation.
“Audi is in Formula 1 with clear ambitions: to use the platform as a technically relevant and economically sustainable investment in the future of the Audi brand,” said CEO Gernot Dollner. “We firmly believe in the success of projects that approach with a realistic attitude and a mindset of continuous improvement.
“At Revolut, we have found a partner who shares our ambitions and attitudes. Formula 1 is a global stage that offers opportunities to reach new target groups and generate enthusiasm for our products.”
According to Audi, Revolut Business is extensively integrated into the team’s financial operations, with more than 60 million Revolut customers currently likely to bring exclusive benefits as part of the transaction.
“We used Revolut to find a partner who shares the core spirit of innovation and merciless ambition,” says Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley. “This is more than a brand fit. It’s a strategic alliance designed to challenge motorsport practices. Starting in 2026, Revolut’s digital first solutions will redefine how fans and communities engage with teams while driving key areas of our operations.
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky says that the two brands are focused on trying to disrupt established orders in their respective areas, and that F1 is considered the ideal platform to tell the story of Fintech Company.
“This is a monumental partnership between Revolut and the future Audi F1 team,” Storonsky said. “We are accelerating to 100 million customers and bring them to Formula 1 with an unforgettable experience at a crucial time for sports.
“As Revolut continues to challenge the current state of global finance, future Audi F1 teams are set to do the same in motorsports.
