Former Newcastle United left-back Stuart Pierce admitted that he could see Liverpool signing Magpie striker Alexander Isaac and Darwin Nunes.
Pierce has been discussing the transfer saga to Liverpool amid a strong claim that the Reds are in so many mixes due to this ambitious signature.
There were many reports of Isaac yesterday, and Fabrizio Romano posted about Swedish international waiting for Liverpool to move for him in what could be a record deal.
Meanwhile, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg added that the LFC is making progress in meetings with Newcastle.

For Liverpool, Alexander Isaac’s transfer would be “incredible”
Pierce has confirmed that Isaac, who will be joining Liverpool, is a “incredible” deal that will end the upcoming Premier League title race.
The 25-year-old was a world-class performer during his time at St. James Park and it’s scary to think he could play alongside the likes of Mohamed Sarah and Florian Wiltz on the Arneslot world-class team.
Still, Pierce told the Chronicle he could see the NUFC do well to bag Darwin Nunes as part of the deal.
“If Liverpool got Isaac, the title is over,” Pierce said.
“They will invest in what they have and add him and his goals to Sarah by bringing them through the door.
“I think if the deal was hashed with Newcastle. I think Nunez, who goes in the opposite direction from Newcastle, is a way to make Newcastle even better.”
Is Darwin Nunes enough to replace Alexander Isaac in Newcastle?
Nunes hasn’t been that impressive in his three years at Liverpool, which is why his future looks uncertain.
Uruguay International looked like an exciting talent for his former club Benfica, but it didn’t look good enough to play for one of the big Premier League teams.
Most Newcastle fans will probably feel their potential can do better than this. And if they are lost just like goalscorers like ISAK, that’s probably too much risk.
