Early Saturday morning, Goitia was notified that Johnson had not survived. He extended his heartfelt condolences to Johnson’s family, friends, and teammates, adding that more details would come after the medical report is released.

The announcement sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans and friends on social media. Many expressed their sorrow, with some highlighting Johnson’s radiant smile and warrior spirit even in his final moments. Supporters offered prayers for his family and the entire fighting community, acknowledging the risks inherent in combat sports.
