West Ham United, Leeds United and Crystal Palace are all eager to move by Mateus Fernandez of Southampton.

However, players may decline a chance to follow TeamTalk and return to the Premier League. All three clubs have asked about Portuguese midfielders, but he has also been interested in Juventus and Atletico Madrid, and has had a very exciting opportunity for the 21-year-old. It is still unknown what he has decided.

The player is valued at £20 million, and three English clubs have finances to pay his fees. Fernandez could be a great acquisition of all three aspects. He can operate in both a deeper role and a more advanced midfield position. He has all the qualities necessary to develop into a complete central midfielder.

Mateus Fernandes is a quality addition

Despite Southampton’s relegation last season, Fernandez was impressed with his performance in the Premier League. He has the qualities to play on top flights, and it’s still not clear where he’s going. Midfielders must join clubs that they play regularly. Sitting on the bench of a big club is not beneficial. He must carefully select his next move.

West Ham, Leeds and Crystal Palace all need more quality in the middle, and he could have plenty of opportunities with them. If he continues to develop on top flights with regular football, he will have the opportunity to join elite clubs in the future. For now, he needs to focus on his development and join a club that provides an appropriate environment for it. Meanwhile, Southampton hopes to recover as much as possible from his departure, improve their team and compete for promotions next season. They could lose some key players this summer.
