BSB Starseal Clinches Dual Victories in Thrilling Northern Ireland Superbike Showdown

Danny Kent, a former Grand Prix champion and current standout in British superbike racing, triumphed in both open invitation races at the Go Classic Bike Festival held in Northern Ireland. Representing the MCAMS Yamaha team in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), Kent traveled to the Bishops Court Racing Circuit for this special event last weekend.

The 2015 Moto3 World Champion secured victory in the opening Superbike race last Sunday, overcoming Ulster Superbike champion Johnny Campbell by a margin of just over three seconds in challenging mixed weather conditions. Despite a less-than-ideal start in his second race, Kent fought his way back to claim another win, this time with a more commanding lead of nearly eight seconds over Campbell.

Kent wasn’t the only BSB star showcasing their talent at Bishop’s Court. Storm Stacey claimed two wins in the superbike races and took the second Supersport race, which was initially won by Richard Cooper in Race 1. BSB champion Kyle Ryde also competed, dominating three GP250 races on a Yamaha TZ250 and setting a new lap record on a two-stroke bike in the process.

Looking ahead, all three riders are set to compete at Thruxton this weekend for round six of the 2025 British Superbike Championship. Ryde currently holds second place in the championship standings with 188 points aboard his OMG Yamaha. Kent is fifth with 118 points for MCAMS Yamaha, while Stacey sits just inside the top ten with 80 points riding for Batams BMW.

Fan Take: This exciting display of talent from top BSB riders at a classic bike festival highlights the deep pool of skill and competition in British superbike racing. Fans can look forward to intense battles and record-breaking performances in the upcoming rounds, which will only help elevate the sport’s profile and thrill.
