Honda rider Tommy Bridewell revealed he received a clean bill of health following a serious crash during the British Superbike round at Brand Hatch, despite initial fears that he had broken his pelvis. The 2023 series champion was thrown off his Honda Superbike exiting the clearway in Race 2 of the July 25-27 event, leading to his withdrawal from the final race. His teammate, Andrew Irwin, also experienced a challenging crash at the same meeting.

After the event, concerns arose that Bridewell had fractured his pelvis from the high-side crash, but further medical scans showed he sustained only bruising, with no bone fractures detected. Bridewell shared an update on Instagram, stating, "After more x-rays and scans, it’s completely clear to us. There are no fractures. Thankfully, it’s just a bruise." He also expressed gratitude to Alpinestars and HJC helmet for their support, calling their products the best in the business.

It’s still uncertain whether Bridewell will be able to compete in the upcoming Thruxton round this weekend. Following the conclusion of the 5th round in the 2025 BSB season, Bridewell currently holds sixth place in the championship standings.

Additionally, another veteran rider from Lee Jackson’s BSB team has been confirmed as missing from the Thruxton round. DAO Racing’s Honda rider suffered a visible foot injury from a crash during the Brand Hatch event, and the team has yet to announce any substitutions.

Fan Take: This update offers relief to racing fans who feared losing a top contender like Bridewell, a key player in the championship fight. His recovery and potential return could keep the competition fierce and maintain excitement in the British Superbike series, a boon for the sport’s popularity and competitive spirit.
