Leeds continues their efforts to strengthen ahead of the start of a new Premier League season within two weeks. So far, seven signatures have been added to Daniel Fark’s team, but more will come in the coming weeks.
Lucas Nmeka, Jaka Bijold, Sebasciaan Bornou, Gabriel Gudmundson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach and Lucas Peri have already moved to Elland Road this summer and are planning to sign more before the transfer window closes at the beginning of September. In particular, there is a desire for a new striker to bring Joel Pillow to complete.
Leeds recently missed West Ham signing Callum Wilson, but now they’re more likely to sign a player they’ve been following for months.
Leeds handed the boost in an effort to sign Nikola Krustvich
Tutto Mercato (via Leedsunited.news) revealed that Serie A Giants Roma has ended interest in Leeds’ target Nikola Krstovic.
“Nicola Krustovitch remains in the background on his way out of Lexe. Rome had previously followed him, focusing on Evan Ferguson, but now he has clearly retracted his interest in strikers who chose to focus on foreign options, especially those that can be taken to the league and that Leeds is of interest.”
A possible problem Leeds faces with Krustovitch is that he cites the 25-year-old’s desire to remain in Italy. However, it is unlikely that club officials will stop them from making efforts to convince Montenegrin, who has made 27 appearances on the international stage.
For now, it is still unclear whether Leeds will raise interest in Krstovitch, but the door remains open.
