According to USA Today, the group coordinated plans to enter WNBA arenas with green sex toys to disrupt the games, starting the day after the coin’s release. A spokesperson emphasized that the stunt was not meant to harm anyone or disrespect the sport.
“We didn’t do this because we dislike women’s sports or because of the current trending stories. Similar disruptions happen in other sports, like the NFL and hockey,” the spokesperson said. They added that viral pranks were necessary to protect their project from falling prey to influencer groups that could compromise its mission.
