Montreal Canadiens standout Nick Suzuki was undoubtedly the driving force behind the team’s playoff appearance this spring. He had an outstanding season in 2024-25, netting 30 goals and leading the Canadiens with a remarkable 89 points over 82 games, marking the best year of his career to date.

Suzuki’s offensive performance this season has brought him close to a notable milestone. The 2017 first-round draft pick is only 25 points away from achieving 400 career NHL points. Considering he has played just 455 NHL games so far, being on the verge of this milestone is quite impressive.

Provided he remains healthy, Suzuki is expected to reach 400 career points early in the 2025-26 season. This expectation is bolstered by his recent offensive surge, having scored 166 points in 164 games over the last two seasons.

It will be exciting to watch how Suzuki continues to develop as his career progresses, but it seems inevitable that he will surpass the 400-point mark soon.

Additionally, Montreal Canadiens winger Cole Caufield enjoyed the best season of his NHL career in 2024-25. In 82 games, the 2019 first-round pick set new personal records with 37 goals, 33 assists, and 70 points, playing a key role in helping the Canadiens reach the playoffs.

Fan Take: Nick Suzuki’s rise to prominence highlights the bright future of the Canadiens and gives hockey fans a thrilling player to root for. His continued growth and milestones could elevate the excitement and competitiveness in the NHL, inspiring a new generation of players and fans alike.
