Justin Rose wins the FedEx St. Jude Championship in the playoffs

Justin Rose birded four of his final five holes and defeated JJ Spaun by sinking a putt who won the third playoff hole.

The FedEx Cup playoffs head to Game 2 at the BMW Championship in Owens Mills, Maryland, after a thrilling St. Jude Championship that sparked some movement in the FedEx Cup standings.

Justin Rose’s victory in the St. Jude Championship was spectacular. Overcoming a 3-shot deficit on the final stretch, he finished the round with a score of 3 under 67, winning his 12th PGA Tour, securing a spot in Team Europe in the Ryder Cup.

Due to a family emergency that required his regular caddy, Ted Scott, to leave the St. Jude Championship early, Scotty Schaeffler had to complete the final round with an alternative caddy. Despite the changes, Schaeffler was tied to third place and scored a 12th straight top eight finish.

Schaeffler is currently leading the FedEx rankings after the St. Jude Championship. Below is what the rankings will look like before the BMW Championship, which begins on August 14th.
