Thomas Frank has had a difficult start to life at Tottenham, made even more difficult by Sunday’s heartbreaking 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. The former Brentford manager is under intense pressure in north London as his team sit 11th in the Premier League table.

In the past 24 hours, Tottenham have reportedly been considering replacing Frank, but are not yet ready to give him his marching orders.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Tottenham are unlikely to make an immediate decision to sign Frank and that he intends to remain manager.

“There’s a lot of pressure on Frank. The fans are calling for him to be sacked, but he won’t do himself any favors if we have a result like we had against Nottingham Forest.”

“From what I’ve heard, they want to keep him with him for the time being, so I don’t expect anything to happen right away. But obviously if things don’t pan out and the crowd starts to turn against him, then serious questions could be asked and decisions could be made about where he stands. They want to support him long-term, so going against him early in his tenure won’t be part of their plans.”

“I know he’s been given time to figure things out, but he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations yet. They’ve had a tough time and they have to turn things around. But they want to stick with the manager and hope the manager can get them out of this situation.”

Should Tottenham sack Thomas Frank?

It has been a difficult season for Tottenham. It’s natural for supporters to want Frank let go, but given his struggles during the 2024-25 Premier League season, it’s clear that the club’s problems go beyond the manager’s.
