Tottenham is squeezing a formerly bid-in-traditional Serie A Star Eze replacement

Tottenham Hotspur is widely reported to be in talks over a contract with Crystal Palace playmaker Ebeki Eze, but he is not his only playmaking target as Chairman Daniel Levy has also evaluated alternative options.

Eze’s dramatic slow movements will seriously help put something rather miserable behind the Spurs over the past few weeks.

During the days of early August, Thomas Frank was forced to give an emotional goodbye to the club’s legendary son Hong Min, finding a way to deal with it without the creative influence of James Madison.

Since his son left, Christian Romero has replaced the Korean as Lily White’s captain, but Frank is still trying to fill in the gaps left by Madison’s serious injuries.

As the 28-year-old collapses on the grass and stretches to Newcastle, Seoul, the heart is in his mouth, and it has since been confirmed to miss most of the 2025/2026 season after Madison received an ACL rupture.

Before losing his son and Madison in many ways, Tottenham missed out on Morgan Gibbs White’s £60 million deal in the strangest way imaginable.

The original plan was to supplement Madison with Gibbs White’s arrival, but in a disappointing situation, both head into a new season despite Frank moving on to book the latter medical appointment last month.

Though he has long layoffs with the compound of Dejan Kulusevski’s injury, the newly opened talk to Eze sparked hope that North Londoners could retreat Frank with the much-needed new creator before the summer deadline.

The Spurs are currently in negotiations to sign both Eze and Man City winger Savigno in separate deals, but Tottenham’s business isn’t that easy, as seen from previous transfer periods.

If you are unable to trade Eze, the club has a fallback target, one of which is the Como Sensation Nico Paz.

Tottenham is squeezing Como’s starlet Nicopass after suspecting a rejected bid

Last week, Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Tottenham had rejected an offer of £35 million to Paz, but his colleague Michael Bridge said that Frank’s side is currently still there for Argentina.

According to Bridge, the Fresh Sky Sports update is believed to have Tottenham still weighing Puzz as an option in search No. 10, but it could be a very difficult deal.

“What the main players want is No. 10, defenders and wingers,” reported the Q&A Bridge.

“Eberechi Eze is a player who has been on the radar for a while, but up until now, they have never surpassed the people they are interested in.

“Now we can think of Crystal Palace midfielders as among the top targets. They also value other targets, including Como’s NicoPas, which looks like a difficult deal.”

CESC Fabregas’ COMO has set a rating of around £60 million for a 20-year-old. This is a similar price to Eze and can definitely be considered a gamble.

Puzz has, for now, only a full season of regular football under his belt, with the Spurs in need of a more proven playmaker, despite praise from football icon Lionel Messi.

“Nico has many qualities and he fully understands the game,” Messi said.

“He has an impressive heart and works with my friend (CESC Fabregas) coach, who will help him grow even further.”
