Turn up the volume! NASCAR Claims Guinness World Record for the Loudest Billboard Ever

Times Square is typically bustling and loud, but on Tuesday morning, the noise levels soared even higher. NASCAR has earned a Guinness World Record for the “World’s Noisiest Billboard,” which is showcased right in the heart of Manhattan’s Times Square. The billboard displays an exact 1:1 replica of the powerful NASCAR Next Generation Engine from a Cup Series car, emitting its iconic roar.

Tim Clark, NASCAR’s Chief Brand Officer, expressed pride in securing the Guinness World Records title, calling it a bold kickoff for the 2026 season. He emphasized that the sign captures the raw energy that defines NASCAR and invites everyone to feel the unique thrill of the sport. This installation aligns with NASCAR’s 2026 brand update and prominently features the phrase “Hell Yeah,” reflecting the intense passion that characterizes the racing experience. The campaign was created by 72andSunny alongside Guru House, with input from NASCAR engine makers based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

As the countdown to the upcoming 2026 Cup Series intensifies, fans should note that the excitement kicks into high gear this week. Following last week’s Exhibition 2026 Cookout Crash at Bowman Gray, the 68th Daytona 500 awaits on Sunday. On Thursday night, Duel 1 and Duel 2 at Daytona—two 60-lap qualifying races, which determine the starting lineup except for the top two positions—will air on FS1 at 7:00 PM ET and 8:45 PM ET. Then on Sunday, Fox and the FOX Sports app will broadcast The Great American Race at 2:30 PM ET. William Byron, the winner of the past two Daytona 500s, has the chance to make history by winning three consecutive races at this prestigious event.

Fan Take: This record-breaking billboard perfectly captures the excitement and energy that NASCAR fans live for, putting the sport in the middle of one of the busiest spots on the planet. It’s a bold move that not only boosts NASCAR’s visibility but also signals a fresh, vibrant era as the 2026 season begins, promising to draw in new fans and re-energize longtime followers.
