The NBA unveiled its 2025-26 regular season schedule, with the season kickoff set for October 21st. Fans can now start speculating about their teams’ prospects based on the game dates. The season opener features the Rockets vs. Thunder and Lakers vs. Warriors, while the Christmas Day lineup and national TV appearances on key matchups remain highly anticipated. Unlike previous years, no single team dominates the national TV schedule, reflecting fans’ desire for varied matchups. Four teams lead in national airtime, signaling shifts in the league’s spotlight due to player moves, injuries, and team performance. Below is a rundown of where all 30 NBA teams stand in terms of nationally televised games for the upcoming season.

Teams like the Wizards, Jazz, Raptors, Nets, and Pelicans each have only two nationally televised games, largely due to rebuilding phases or lacking star power. The Hornets and Bulls have three games each, while the Heat and Trail Blazers are scheduled for five and eight games, respectively. Teams like the Suns, Pacers, and Grizzlies are moderately featured with 9 to 13 games. The Hawks and Orlando Magic have between 13 and 14 games, reflecting promising young talent or recent improvements. The Sixers, Pistons, Bucks, Clippers, Spurs, Mavericks, Cavs, Celtics, and Nuggets range from 14 to 26 games, each influenced by their roster health, key players, or recent successes.

The top spots are shared by Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers, each boasting between 28 and 34 nationally televised games. The Rockets and Timberwolves are highlighted for their promising young stars, while the Knicks and Thunder are recognized for their recent success and exciting talent. Warriors and Lakers continue to be major draws thanks to star players like Stephen Curry and the enduring Lakers brand.
