Federico Chiesa has yet to live up to expectations in a Liverpool shirt, but he looks set to be one of the big talking points in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool’s board have doubts about his ability to adapt to the pace of the Premier League and are “open to letting him go”, but Serie A sides are already making moves for Chiesa.

Chiesa was linked with a move from Liverpool in January.

Italian club keen on Federico Chiesa

Juventus are trying their best to bring back their former star, while Roma and Napoli keep him on their shortlists to increase their attacking options. No formal bids have yet been made, but negotiations are expected to accelerate once the window opens.

According to officials, catch off side Liverpool’s offer is around 25-30 million euros, a figure that would help the club avoid losses and free up space in its personnel budget. Chiesa’s contract runs until 2028, and there are currently no plans to extend it. According to reports, he may accept a slight salary reduction if he returns to Serie A.

Juventus fans are excited by the idea of him returning in black and white, with Italian media seeing a return home as the most likely scenario.

As it stands, Chiesa’s most likely option this summer is a return to Serie A. Juventus are leading the race, but Roma and Napoli could spice things up with other offers. Liverpool are ready to sell and this summer could be a turning point in Chiesa’s career.

It would not be in Liverpool’s interest for the Italy international to sit on the bench, so he should consider leaving in the summer in hopes of becoming a regular player. He is a quality player and has shown glimpses of his ability at Liverpool. He could be the ideal signing for clubs like Juventus, Roma and Napoli. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
